Gérard A. Brikkenaar van Dijk was appointed NBSO-Texas Chief Rep in October 2010. He brings extensive government and business experience to the office, ranging from the Dutch Foreign Service to early involvement and expansion of successful startups in the entertainment, internet and datacenter industries, many in a trans-Atlantic context. Van Dijk holds a B.Sc. in Journalism from Boston University and an M.A. in International Affairs from the University of Virginia.
Saskia van Oostveen – Sablan joined NBSO-Texas in September 2011 as International Trade Advisor after running the daily support and management of 23 Netherlands Business Support Offices worldwide while stationed in the Hague. She has been living in the US for 26 years, working in international business and real estate. She is the former president of the Dutch American Networking Association (DANA) in Southern California and a co-founder of the Dutch School in San Diego. Van Oostveen holds a degree in French language and culture from the Sorbonne in Paris, France and a business administration degree from Parks Business College in Denver, Colorado.
Elizabeth Batlle joined the NBSO-Texas in June 2011 as assistant and office manager. She has a broad international background and worked for several companies that do business with Canada, Mexico, the Americas and Europe. A native of El Salvador she has been an American citizen who made Houston her home in 1981, thus bringing a substantial local knowledge and network to the NBSO organization. Before joining NBSO-Texas she worked for Spanish Consulate-General in Houston.
