Texas, the land of opportunity
Companies moving to the Lone Star State!
During the last months Texas has experienced a massive arrival of new businesses, especially large and recognized companies, which have decided to move their headquarters to the Lone Star State.
Corporations such as Tesla, SpaceX, Hewlett Packard, CBRE and most recently, Oracle, are among of this exodus, that started a few years ago, now it's adding more newcomers every day, with Austin and Dallas as the favorite cities.
But, why Texas?
In an interview with CNBC, Governor Greg Abbott said that companies moving headquarters to the state has turned into a ‘tidal wave’.
“Cost of business means a lot. No income tax means a lot, but also the freedom to operate without the heavy hand of regulation means a lot,” he said.
“They are looking for a state that gives them the independence, the autonomy and the freedom to chart their own course.” He added on Twitter “Texas is truly the land of business, jobs, and opportunity. We will continue to attract the very best”.
As the 9th largest economy among the nations of the world and home to 50 Fortune 500 headquarters, Texas offers the best business-friendly climate in the US—with no corporate income tax and no personal income tax—along with a highly skilled workforce, easy access to global markets, robust infrastructure and predictable regulations, Texas continues to be a top destination for innovators.
Also, Texas has been ranked as one of the best state for business climate, for many consecutive years.
